Pole Buildings & Construction in Spokane Valley & Liberty Lake
Spokane Valley is where a lot of our work happens. Between the established neighborhoods on the valley floor and the larger lots out toward Greenacres, Otis Orchards and Newman Lake, homeowners here are constantly adding space: a detached shop, a garage for the truck and the boat, a covered RV bay, or an addition to a house that's been outgrown.
Wes Commerce LLC handles those projects start to finish with one local crew. That includes drafting the plans, coordinating the permit and building it, so you aren't juggling a kit supplier, a drafter and a separate builder.
What We Build in Spokane Valley & Liberty Lake
Shops and detached garages
Post-frame shops and garages are the most common request we get in the Valley: insulated and heated workshops, two- and three-bay garages, and tall bays for RVs and trailers, with roll-up doors, concrete slabs and electrical rough-in.
Pole barns on acreage
On the larger parcels toward Otis Orchards and Newman Lake, we build pole barns, hay storage and equipment sheds sized for how you actually use the land.
Additions, decks and remodels
For homes on the valley floor and in Liberty Lake, we take on room additions, covered porches, decks and kitchen and bathroom remodels, matching existing siding and trim so new work blends in.
Permits & Building Codes
Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake are incorporated cities with their own building departments, while areas like Otis Orchards and Newman Lake fall under Spokane County. Which office reviews your project depends on exactly where your parcel sits, and we confirm that before drafting starts.
Under the building code adopted around Spokane, one-story detached accessory buildings of 200 square feet or less (small tool and storage sheds) are generally exempt from a building permit. Anything larger, which includes essentially every garage, shop and pole barn, needs one. Setbacks and zoning rules apply either way.
Snow & Weather Design Considerations
Spokane County's basic minimum ground snow load is 30 pounds per square foot, which the county converts to a design roof snow load. We engineer every building to at least the load your jurisdiction requires, and we size trusses, purlins and post spacing for it. That way a heavy, wet Valley winter isn't something you have to worry about.
